These wonderful brass plates are probably from between 1900 - 1910 and was made in England. It pictures a young man on the moors in a period outfit with his cape in one arm and hat and feather in the other hand.
"The Blue Boy" was originally painted by Gainsborough R.A. (1727 - 1788). Here it has been transferred onto the plaque, the Trafford Plaques Series No 1 Old Masters Series

The painting was put onto the brass using the Oligraph process on metal. The Wall plaque has some age related tarnishing which is only to be expected.
It was Made in England. The colour of his outfit is still quite vibrant.
The plaque is 16 1/2 inches in diameter. It has a 2 holes on the back to hang it straight on your wall.
It would be a super addition to any collection, excellent display, practical piece or authentic period prop.
